“Atmosfäriska anteckningar [“Atmospheric Notes”]

A piece of tape that hasn’t fastened properly, or the unimaginable colour resonance that a marker pen can secrete through layer upon layer of sheets of paper. Details like these, among the atmospheric notes, don’t seem to be perfect. Can that which appears defective be an unexpected gateway to something fantastic? In her artistic practice, Zsuzsanna Larsson Gilice works with simple and impermanent material. Here, she has chosen to give prominence to traces which, at first glance, do not reveal any immediate meaning, but, nevertheless, can gradually gain meaning.

The original images consist of pages from a hundred notebooks with variables of color splotches and text fragments. The exhibition “Atmosfäriska anteckningar [“Atmospheric Notes”] in the public art project Konstväxlingar – färgbilder is on display from May 2014 until May 2015.

Konstväxlingar exhibits artworks that are displayed for a limited time at seven subway stations in Stockholm: black and white images are exhibited at Slussen and Fridhemsplan, color images at Gärdet and Zinkensdamm, photography at Mariatorget, video art at Skanstull and artworks by graduating students from Swedish art and design schools are exhibited at Odenplan.
